Chris has been working as a real estate broker in the Sitzmark office of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate since 1990. Because of his knowledge and experience throughout the Vail Valley he works with clients as more of a general broker, fully understanding the unique qualities of each neighborhood throughout Eagle County. He is an expert at fitting the individual needs of his buyers to the ideal property, no matter what location works best for his clients.

As a member of the largest sales team in Eagle County, which produced over $1.2 billion in sales volume this past year, Chris recently received the Golden Eagle award, recognizing his as one of the top 10 brokers in this large and extremely successful brokerage firm.

Chris has been a resident of the Vail Valley for 29 years. His wife, Mary, and two sons, Nathan and Joshua, reside in West Vail. Currently his sons attend college out of state and Nathan now works summers as an assistant to Chris, helping him manage his growing real estate career.

Prior to moving to Vail in 1978, Chris graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia in 1974, with a B.A. in psychology. Once in Vail, Chris began his employment with Vail Associates in the mountain department before transferring to Vail Associates Real Estate in 1990. He has been a member of the broker team of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate since its inception, following the merger of Vail Associates Real Estate with Slifer Smith & Frampton.

When not at work, Chris enjoys the Vail Valley and all it has to offer. Favorite hobbies/activities for him include skiing, hiking, camping, kayaking and gardening. He continues to stay active in the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and has coached children’s soccer and been closely involved in both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts when his boys were growing up.
